Hotel Contracting Manager

The Contracting Manager is responsible for the performance management of specific groups of contractors

This role report to the Regional Product Directors, and has between 5 and 8 direct reports (CM/Expert CM/ SCM).

As a team leader is focused on coordinate a contracting team and also to ensure the accomplishment and follow up of the regional targets.

Special conditions:

  • They are not responsible for their own hotel portfolio
  • Coaches team and manages performance

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of Contractors, making sure the team understands the business and their main tasks and has Objectives in order to achieve the pre-agreed goals.
  • Train the team as a proficient user of contracting tools, ensuring they understand all necessary processes and tools to perform their duties.

  • Coaching and performance management, individually ensuring all team individuals are performing at their best and helping them to refine negotiation tactics by attending ride-along.

  • Regular team follow up on targets (offers, availability, competitiveness and sales), analysing the reports extracted from internal tools (Salesforce, Accelerate, Atlas, Wizard...) to define and prioritize next steps.

  • Report results on a regular basis to Regional Product Director to follow up the consecution of the objectives.

  • Analyze market trends and evolution making sure the team has all the available information about the destinations such as strategy, expectations, objectives, changes or relevant information with transparency through group or individual meetings/conference calls to guarantee all the team members are fully aware and informed.

  • The role model for contractors is to embody the Product culture. Communicating contracting themes to ensure required behaviour is sustained
